These cyanotype images were created by randomly applying chemistry to large sheets of paper, exposing them, and then selecting 5"x7" areas based on the resulting patterns. The images were then paired with existing pieces of short text that were typed onto the paper using an antique typewriter that I've owned since college. Most of the writing was done in 2020 and reflects my response to what I experienced during that trying period. This serendipitous method of creation is very different from how I typically work, but I very much enjoyed the sense of freedom it provided.
